Appoint staff and develop a process and threshold criteria for evaluating technologies/generic threshold criteria for testing and implementing technology/threshold criteria for implementing technology on a widespread university basis.

Research and Review technology possibilities / Develop a Lecture Series on emerging technologies/Colloquiums provided by Academic Departments.

Appoint a person to inquire of departments, visit trade shows,do research into trends, etc.

Perform customer based survey each term of their future  direction and interests to use as a tool to target investigation

After a technology is identified as appropriate for testing,

Create criteria for evaluating this particular technology

Create test environments and some fair method of determining who is selected to test the technology

Determine a process for recording, reporting and dissemination of findings

Contact and work with vendors to be beta test sites.

Define the process for doing the research on technologies within University regulations – i.e. confer with Geri or her designee regarding appropriate procedures.
