Project Management

Overview. The F&A Strategic Vision for 2001-2006 provided for a series of “Next Steps” to help guide the F&A implementation process.  These steps included:  

Ř       Create a Strategic Action Team
Ř       Prioritize and schedule the Initiatives
Ř       Create and execute a detailed implementation plan
Ř       Refine and generate new strategic initiatives

Purpose.  The two-fold purpose of this information brief is:  1.) To provide the AVP-CIO with a format and process (“Next Steps”) for development and implementation of the OTI strategic planning effort over the next 18 months; 2.) To align the OTI strategic plan with the F&A Strategic Vision 2001-2006.  

Project Management.  The following provides a suggested project management framework to facilitate the development and implementation of the OTI Strategic Plan.  

OTI Leadership Team (LT).
The LT will be responsible for leading and managing the overall planning effort.

The LT membership will include:

  • AVP-CIO
  • Director, UCS
  • Director, IS
  • Director, US
  • Assistant Director Business Services
  • Assistant Director Information Resource Management
     

OTI Planning Team (PT).
The PT will be responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the overall planning effort.  
The PT membership will include:

  • Coordinator, Information Resource Management (Overall OTI Facilitator and F&A Liaison).
  • UCS Membership (one member will be the UCS facilitator)
  • AIS Membership (one member will be the AIS facilitator)
  • Membership from US (one member will be the US facilitator)
  • Subject Matter Experts as needed
