Business Objects - Data Warehouse Decision Support Tool

The Florida State University Data Warehouse is recommending the suite of tools from Business Objects - http://www.businessobjects.com/.

This suite of tools includes many features such as:

• The ability to mask the complexity of the underlying database and provide business oriented views. Review the Business Objects Universes
• A client/server interface for "power users", and a Web interface for "casual users"
• Full capabilities to generate graphics
• An interface which has a Microsoft Windows "look and feel"
• Data export into your favorite spreadsheet program
• Data import directly into MS Excel based on business oriented views
• Report scheduling and publishing, including publishing to the web
• Multi-dimensional analysis, e.g. disbursement by division, department, project over time
• Data mining, e.g. "Does the data tell me anything"
• Complete security for data and documents
